So Called Dollar NEWP! 1933 - HK 870

I don’t collect these, but I really like this one.
I got it today.
Somewhat proof like, I thought initially it was cleaned, but that’s all die polish. The heaviest die polish I think I’ve ever seen!
I’m told it’s HK 870
It scans 9999 silver on the Sygma and weights dead on a Troy ounce. I’m impressed by that accuracy on a piece from 1933!
If anyone here has this type, post it here!

That particular issue (HK-870) always seems to come one of two ways -- either over-dipped and thoroughly washed out or with beautiful rainbow toning. There are some outstanding colorful examples out there -- the similar Montana Dollar (HK-820) is quite a bit scarcer but also often exhibits a lot of color as well.
Picked this one up a few weeks back. 2x2 was marked "XF":

Nice looking pieces! Like the motto... Use Silver to Restore Prosperity.. can you imagine trying to explain Bitcoin to folks in 1933?
That is a nice piece... I have admired those here on the forum before. Promised myself to get one someday...Cheers, RickO
When you get a moment, please explain it to me here in 2021!
Thanks everybody!

Here's one that I picked up when I lived in Colorado about 40 years ago. I worked in a coin shop, and these were fairly common, but this one stood out. This photo is over 10 years old, and I'm sure I could do better now. Like the OP's piece, this one is somewhat prooflike, and has very heavy die polish.

Quite a few years ago I remember going into a coin shop and they had a little pile of "generic" silver rounds for "spot" plus $1 each. That came out to about $8 a piece. Anyway, most of them were modern "generic" rounds. But there were three of the 1933 Colorado HK-870 in there, so I bought those
. Yes, there was a time when some coin dealers treated them as ordinary silver rounds. But now they all know that these carry a decent premium.
Nice pickup, looks pretty. ⭐️
