Today's Entry in Screwed Up Mint Website Happenings...

So...when I attempted to purchase the 2021 Eagle today...

My account has been set-up and prepopulated with multiple payment options for years. So imagine my surprise when I selected the AMEX card from the payment list AND IT AUTO FILLED WITH ANOTHER PERSON'S DATA...and not a person known to me!!!

Then to top things off, I went into my account settings and only my credit card data was displayed EXCEPT that my 03/21 expiration date had magically shifted to 03/31! And no, I haven't been in my account settings area for at least a year.

Now imagine if all this happened during a hot issue when time was critical, the website was overwhelmed, and every second mattered?!?

How was this even possible?

For me the mint has been a waste of time and money.

Sounds like a classic caching coding issue. And one they could get in trouble for were it not the government. I have seen that in production before when I did development for a company that did loans. It caused a big stir and it traced down to a code issue and a bug in Windows (at the time).

similar issue happened to me - entered cc info for purchase, then after hitting confirm order, it showed I paid with a cc I haven't used in years and which hasn't been in stored acct info for at least as long

in addition to that, my total only reflected 2 coins' cost, yet listed all 4 coins I purchased

mint specialist I spoke w on phone had no idea what was going on and - even though they did everything they could - were not sure my order wouldn't be canceled because of it

Seriously...if this happened during a hot issue...I would have thrown my PC across the room!

I don't do business with the mint.

I placed my order... everything was fine. Received an email that order was processed. Then I get an email saying my CC was expired. I checked my account... it was not expired. I was going to call, and then I got another email saying my order was confirmed. Weird. Cheers, RickO

My Amex card was hit fine with a recent order. Did you use an iPhone to auto populate your info or were you using a computer?
