Yes, I've used them for years. It's easy, they do all the scanning, you just have to set a price. Just have to be careful with the fees (per card listing fee, 5% of any sales, and a cut if you want to cash out instead of purchase items from them) and what will be worth it. And much like everything else card related, they're really backed up right now.

@Cubsfan71 I've never sold on COMC before, but I would be remiss if I didn't compliment your 1977 Topps John Hadl profile pic. I'm a Hadl fan. Very nice!

Todd Tobias - Grateful Collector - I focus on autographed American Football League sets, Fleer & Topps, 1960-1969, and lacrosse cards.
  • @LarkinCollector sounds like the fees actually a little less than ebay? @AFLfan played a LONG time, almost 250 TDs! :)

If you buy product from them with your proceeds and avoid the 20% cash out fee, yes. Plus you can usually sell for a bit more than eBay since the buyer can combine shipping with purchases from any seller there.

They were also heavily involved in the trimming scandal that seems to have faded off out of memory. If memory serves, they had an employee or two selling trimmed cards through their platform and the owner covered for them.

There are some really good sellers on there (see: LC above) but I batted 1.000 with my first four purchases in getting trimmed cards and basically swore them off. A lot of bad material gets moved through their doors.

I'm in the minority though. I think most collectors don't have a problem buying from them. I hate bashing a place that good folks here might depend on for a living.

I'd be living in a van down by the river if I depended on them for a living, but I've traded a grand worth of my junk for someone else's the past few months :D

    any updates on shipping delays?

getting better or worse? saw a few cards i'd be interested in but very wary considering...

  • @billwaltonsbeard just notice the maximum value .75 free storage, seems like that could add up quickly

I love COMC, but the shipping the last 9 months or so is a DISASTER. I did economy shipping on 8/28/2020 and actually just received the shipment YESTERDAY! VERY FRUSTRATING!

For every card priced over .75, you're charged one penny per month

  • @CdnOsfan as in what you bought in August was just now sent delivered! WOW!
