Carson Wentz Chicago Bears?

doubledragondoubledragon Posts: 23,269 ✭✭✭✭✭

There's a rumor that Carson Wentz might very well be heading to the Chicago Bears. Supposedly, the Bears have the top trade offer for him, and Twitter is going crazy about it.

Yes, Twitter is still going crazy! Now this thing is really heating up, and it looks like he is definitely heading somewhere. There's also a report that the Colts are putting up a fight for Wentz. The suspense is too much!

I nominate this as DoubleD's go to Gif.
It has served you well in numerous board topics and situations. :p

Also it just struck me that this is Tom Brady on Sunday
talking to Mahomes before the game starts.

I'd have mixed emotions about it.

When the Eagles fired Pederson, i thought that signaled that they were going to give Wentz at least another year. But perhaps incoming coach Nick Sirianni doesn't like Wentz.

Maybe Wentz called Jeff Lurie a dirty name?

I think they're better off with Trubisky than Wentz.

Why does God hate the Bears?

This is for you @thisistheshow - Jim Rice was actually a pretty good player.

Wentz gets sacked an awful lot. His fault or offensive line?

If the Eagles trade Wentz, there could be the answer.

Maybe Wentz might think he's so good, and so rich, that he can do it his own way out there on the playing field?

offer ? Im demanding 2 1st rounders to take his contract

I thought they fired pederson because he wanted to dump wentz ?

It looks like the Colts and the Bears are the two most likely landing spots right now for Wentz. Frank Reich is with the Colts and Wentz has a history with Reich. The Bears also want Wentz. They want him bad man. The Bears and Colts are fighting over Carson Wentz, and it's getting nasty, and bitter, and vicious, and it could end with blows being thrown!

I think they would be better off ridding themselves of Trubitsky and staying clear of Wentz. Admit your mistake dont compound it by adding another, there are rumors Wentz is a problem in the locker room and doesn’t like to listen to the coaching staff.

The Colts vs Bears fight over Carson Wentz is getting nasty. They're fighting over Carson Wentz like two family members fighting over the last porkchop!

Foles back to philly ? Now steves head is going to explode

I’m happy to hear he might be gone. If another team gets him, it will a year of frustration for their fans. He has less talent than Kurt Cousins and can’t take anyone to the promised land.

    Not really.

Foles if he comes back to Philly, comes back as a #2. I'd be quite fine with that.

I just read if Foles comes back, he will also run for mayor at the same time.

The opposing party won't even run a candidate against him.

I think Foles might be at the end of the road. I can’t see him repeating his previous successes, but Philly fans have a habit of liking those who took them to past glories.

Come on now, a player who almost single handedly in the playoffs, won the first and only Super Bowl for the Eagles. What's not to like about that? And Foles is only 32 years old which is normally prime time for a QB.

That being said, I stated emphatically after the Eagles won the Super Bowl, and the choice was to keep Wentz or Foles, that Foles is not a winning #1 QB in the league over a full season. and it was an easy call. For whatever reasons, he doesn't have the stamina, concentration, etc, to compete and win at a top level over the course of 16 games.

Not an exact analogy, but there could be some similarities with Foles as to why there are starting pitchers and relief pitchers. It's not only physical reasons, it's mental as well. Foles is best suited as an NFL "relief pitcher".

I would enjoy Foles coming back to the Eagles as a #2, for relief if necessary to Jalen Hurts...in the hope of future glories. Frankly, I'm not 100% sold yet on Jalen Hurts. But he's all the Eagles have right now if they make the trade, and as Doyle Brunson once said, you've got to play the cards you're dealt.
