Nice collection you bought Double D! 😉
Yeah, I wish! 😂😂
There's only two Roger Staubach rookie cards to ever grade a pefect 10, and this one sold for $22,161 a while back.
my middle son just had an interesting LA Chargers QB Justin Herbert card moment.
I guess he dabbles in cards and stuff, I know nothing about their values, the brand names or anything. he had a still sealed box that he had been trying to sell on eBay for about $500-$600 with no success, so he opened it up. in the first pack he opened he found what I think he called a "Justin Herbert gold signed rookie card" that's worth about $10k. he told me had an initial offer of $3,500 but did some research and decided to have it graded.
is that card really worth as much as he thinks??
I know nothing about that card, but I will say this...
The value of something is only as much as you can get someone to pay for it. In today's market, I would not be the least surprised if he found someone to give him that much for it.
People are insane.........or insanely rich?
Way back when the Twins drafted Byron Buxton, I looked into buying one of his "good" rookie cards. They were going for THOUSANDS of dollars.
Here's a guy with not even one professional at bat selling for more than a PSA 8 1955 Harmon Killebrew rookie card.
I passed on the "good" rookie and picked up a couple of low dollar nice looking cards and left it at that.
Quite possibly it is worth that much.
Herbert cards are worth a lot of money already, I've been wanting to buy a few
but I feel like they're overpriced already.
Ask him what brand it is. Panini prizm gold would probably be numbered /10 .
Good decision to have it graded, hope he goes with PSA.
Also if it pictures him in his Chargers pro uniform it will generally be worth
more than if it pictures him in his College uniform (panini collegiate draft picks, etc.)
