Heritage Monthly "Named" Auctions
I just noticed that Heritage is hosting monthly on-line "named" auctions like the
Steve Studer Collection
The Hunter Collection
The Brady Island Collection
I think this is a nice idea. Obviously very valuable collections get sold in big named sales, but such a courtesy is typically not available for mid-level collections. These are usually dispersed anonymously in bits and pieces among various Internet-only and in-person sales. It's cool to see these cohesive collections sold intact.

Maybe I should name my collection, but I don’t think that the “Smudge” Collection would bring out the big $.
You never know...you share a name with a famous cat!
Actually I had a cat named Smudge long ago and took the name.
This is a good idea, especially in the age of counterfeits.
It would be better if they added the provenance in the individual lot descriptions too.
I can see it now...."The much anticipated 'RickO Collection'... Bring your sunglasses....

Cheers, RickO
