A handy handbook that every cherrypicker should have.
Hi guys, while visiting my dealer friend's establishment. He surprised me with two items. One being a very cool red toned Roosevelt dime. 1959d. He knows I'm very fond of these beautiful coins. Once in a while he'll put aside some of these gems for my collection. At no cost, mind you. We have a very close relationship. I, in return, perform many free favors for him as well.
Anyway, he also gave me this wonderful leather covered handbook. It's a small pocketbook of varieties in the Morgan Dollar series. Vam varieties of all sorts. I have never seen anything like this, have you guys? This is so cool! Convenient and yes, handy when searching for any cherries. Check out the autograph. Michael S. Fey. Not only this book is awesome but to have Mr. Fey's signature to boot. Lol. Have you guy's seen this book before? I haven't. Thanks

I have one but not in leather. It's kinda outdated.
Here's the book outside it's leather cover.

I like the "Top 100" stickers.

That is nice... Now you can start chasing Morgan VAM's.... That will be a major project. Good luck - Cheers, RickO
Nice!
I'm confused. Is your dealer friend a "he" or a "she"? Either I read too closely, or not closely enough.
Sorry, it can be confusing talking about my two favorite dealers. The one B+M shop that the woman dealer owns is not as close to a friend as my man dealer friend. She has all the Cherry pick inventory, along with great deals! My man friend is my mentor and like a brother to me. He taught me everything I know in Cherry picking. I buy the high price items from him, no varieties. He picks his own. Can't Cherry pick a cherry picker. Lol Thanks

11.5$ Southern Dollars, The little “Big Easy” set
I just bought the big VAM encyclopedia and I love it. I really enjoy studying Morgans and Peace dollars. Die failure and engraving markers are very interesting. Peace Roy

Here's my copy. Got it at the release event at the 1996 Denver ANA show. The concept of a discreet, unobtrusive guide was a new one back then. Hard to believe it was 25 years ago.

Pretty cool you have both signatures.
And more personal from Michael.

It's been a long time since I searched for VAMs
BHNC #203
I picked up my copy 15-20 years ago, a 1997 copyright with leather cover. No autographs. Sure, the prices are out of date, but the information is still valuable.
Went to seek for the 1901p ddr Morgan at my favorite B+M shop. No luck. I also checked for other Vams/varieties, no luck at these either. I did come across one though. It was in a NGC holder. Can't recall right now which one it was? It was the Vam with the "R" in the word epluribus doubled at the left foot. It might of been the 1921p Morgan?
