What a thrill to find an old dinosaur print like that.... very cool. This is not super old, but one of the coins my Father kept (he was not a coin collector, he was an odd coin saver). Cheers, RickO

@1630Boston.... That is a 1845, and not special that I know of....He had two of these old silver German coins...No idea where he got them or why he kept them. Cheers, RickO

220,000,000 years is a long time. The number can be written on a piece of paper but the concept itself is beyond all human comprehension. It's like looking at the stars or gazing at the Grand Canyon. Some things are unknowable..........like why does your wife need all those credit cards?

    A Cognitive Limitation

It shouldn’t be too surprising that humans have great difficulty with large numbers. While living and evolving in a so-called state-of-nature, our paleolithic ancestors had no need (i.e. no environmental pressures) to develop such a capacity. Back then, and prior to the advent of a formal numbering system, early humans only really needed to get a basic sense of small batches of quantities, like the number of people in the clan, or how many animals might occupy a certain area.

These days, however, we’re surrounded by large numbers. Like, stupid large numbers. We’re told that there are 7-billion humans on Earth, that there are 300-billion stars in the Milky Way, and that there may be upwards of 70-sextillion stars in the Universe (that’s a 1 with 21 zeros behind it). Good luck trying to wrap your head around what such a quantity actually means or signifies.

    I enjoyed that story!!!
Also because I live just a few minutes from Dinosaur Ridge here in Colorado, it's one of my favorite places to go for a walk
Dinosaur footprints, fossilized ocean shore ripples, Dinosaur fossils still in the rocks, and sooo much more!
A must visit if you're in the Denver area! Also a sweet view of Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Bandimere Speedway and even more fun stuff!!!

Due to their large size, over 1 1/2" in diameter and nearly 1/4" thick and containing 2 oz of copper.
