picked up the 5 oz mg crown kit kat in '94 for $25 at a b&m in Iowa - couple other mgs since then, and a couple cast buddies from polar bear pours
the us commem silver I bought in the mid to late nineties at that same b&m have not gone up considerably in price 👀 - still waiting on those to take off - ill keep waiting⏳...😂
Not bullion as such, but I bought it for well under melt. I already have two nicer ones in the original boxes, so since this one is a touch scruffy I keep it as bullion.
Issued in 1976 by the government of Israel to honor the raid to free hostages being held in Uganda. It is not .999 but higher than Sterling and would net out at 3 ounces or so of pure silver.
Some friends live in an off-the-grid area in northern CA. Their community decided to mint one ounce silver rounds and use them for local purchases and services.
I liked the design and bought a dozen 10+ years ago.
Lance.
For those of you that know VERY fine wine, Screaming Eagle is probably the biggest California cult wine. I’m fortunate to have been on their mailing list for twenty years. Being on that list allows me to buy just three bottles each year. They have a waiting list to get on their mailing list that is at least 10 years long.
I mention the above because just last week there was a post about beautiful 2 oz. Silver Rounds made by the Intaglio Mint, and sold by their affiliate, Limited Mintage. I fell in love, and last week ordered one of their most recent offerings, just before it sold out - a tribute to the 1873-CC Trade Dollar. So how does that tie in to Screaming Eagle?
In looking through their 100 or so beautiful designs, I came across the below design. Out of stock, but just tonight Apmex came across a supply of new ones. I bought three of these - each is 2 oz, 39mm, and 6mm thick (about 1/4 inch thick). In my opinion, the cost is reasonable for the artistry - about $8.50 per oz over spot, free shipping.

they made a 2 oz silver for the first time in 2020 as well [not my picture, tho I own a 1 & 2 oz 2020 - this was easier than digging them out 😄]
Silver went up a dollar yesterday? Platinum went up 60. Am I missing the point ?

OG puck! have never seen one of these - made for a gathering in NV?
I have only seen two. I am assuming the management of the Cortez Mine awarded employees for good attendance. So much nicer than a plaque!
