I think the Andy Reid's son thing will galvanize the Chiefs, and motivate them to focus even more to win another one for their head coach.
I still like the Chiefs to win this game, by around ten points.
The kiss of death. Now I can tear up my KC- 3 slip
Well at least the forum Monday morning quarterback finally grew a pair and made a call in advance.
Don't tear up your tickets, unless you like throwing away money.
I'm already in the black for the season shorting Tom Brady thanks to your predictions.

He's doing very well but I should have just staked him instead. But, then again he learned how to play on line while in college during the craze. When he moved in with me after I had extra bedrooms. One looked like a day traders desk. He had 16 monitors that he played simultaneously. He says he's too old play online now. Not enough stamina! One of the other bedrooms he had his 16 guitars and amps set up in. Oh to be young again

Back to the game. I won $500 in futures and $580 total for the season. I’m bucking every trend. I’m either going home broke or a good year for me. I placed my SB wager this morning.
KC -3 for $250
Under 56 for $350
Lost betting against Brady the last 2 weeks. I guess I’m a dumb a$$.
Good luck everyone and enjoy the game.

Mark I'm sorry, but a 1/4mil for a 4 year degree at Go Blue boggles my mind. When I got accepted it would have been under 10/year out of state the whole way....before the .gov got involved with loans mind you, but damn man that sucks. Stakehorse the proper bet for sure.

congrats to all of the Bucs, Brady & Gronk fans. really impressive performance. the better team on both sides of the ball........and between the ears.
my condolences to all of the losing wagers on this thread.......including mine. Tom Brady taught me multiple lessons in the playoffs. maybe one day i'll learn before he retires.
i especially feel for Darin.......tonight has to be a very difficult watch. completely outplayed, completely undisciplined from the opening kickoff.............extremely un-KC-like. don't fret brother.........you won one last year and there will be more to come.
and a very, very special shout-out to the TB waterboy. that was some unparalleled motivation he/she instilled in those players tonight.
gnight to all...........catch you guys on the flipper!

Thanks Galaxy, sorry you lost your bet.
@Darin, I'm not joking when I say I'm just glad you are here , win or lose. We all know your team will be back. Already looking forward to next year!
all good my man -- i know what it entails. again, sorry the outcome was not anything you had hoped for.
as for my wager, truthfully my confidence was at its highest when i placed it about a week prior to the game. but from that point til kickoff, it started waning. at one point during the week i thought to myself, 80-85% of people (random people, people i know, "pundits", me) are going against the GOAT. all of a sudden a felt a wave of unease collapse on my head.
another thing that gave me cause for concern was the money flow. i was following the line all week waiting for it to bump from -3.5 to -4. didn't happen. it went the other direction from -3.5 to -3, and the ML slowly crept south as well. idk about anyone else who gambles, but i don't like swimming upstream. gives me a sinking feeling that others know something i don't.
quick story....
last night i was watching the game with my girlfriend. toward the end of the first quarter i apparently had somewhat of a distressed look on my face, because she asked me what was wrong. i said to her, "the Bucs are making Mahomes run for his life on almost every snap without blitzing."
"what does that mean exactly?"
"that means unless something drastically changes, i just lit some benjamins on fire."
the majority of the talk today and beyond will be about Brady, and he does deserve a lot of credit. i think he only threw for 200 or so yards, but he played an efficient, mistake-free game with three completions in the end zone. just the type of performance you need from your quarterback to win a super bowl.
but holy chit that defense. keeping KC out of the house for 60 minutes on the sport's biggest stage was a collective effort for the ages.
and allow this little nugget to marinate. Mike Evans caught one pass for 31 yards......Chris Godwin caught two balls for 9 yards..... and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat the Kansas City Chiefs by 22 points. if someone had told me that those two guys would combine for 40 receiving yards AND the Chiefs were getting three touchdowns, i can guarandamntee you i would've lost considerably more than 500 clams
After a nice win last Thursday playing blackjack at Harrah's casino in Cherokee, NC, I decided to make a straight up $300 bet with a guy at my club. Can't wait for the payout!
As the OP, I mentioned that I felt karma was in the air...10th SB, home field, first time ever for a team in the game. I also felt that the Brady-Gronk connection was a factor, which it turned out to be. Would not be surprised to see Edelman join the team and complete the trifecta next year! No doubt the wheels are turning.
Had it not been for a very lucky catch, thrown by Eli very late in the Giants/Pats game in XLII, Brady would have had #7 and yesterday would have capped an impossible to reach #8. Still, I seriously doubt his record will ever be broken. We are and have witnessed the Babe Ruth of pro football. Brady truly is THE GOAT!! Brady got the well deserved MVP and will forever be revered whenever people talk about pro football.
Not a great game, but certainly a shocker as it developed. KC shot themselves in the foot with so many penalties and began to lose their cool. Mahomes is really good, but he had little protection with all the scrambling he had to do and the "wing it" passes. Looked like he was playing through pain as the game went on...he's a tough cookie, but his offensive line needs some work.
I'll bet Bob Kraft wishes he had given Brady an island in the Pacific to keep him in NE, compared to what he has now. Imagine the $$ you could have won offering the Chiefs and 21!!! WOW.
