I would like your opinion please on this Walking Liberty Half Dollar. ***Different 43D photos***

I really like this 1943 D Walking Liberty Half and wonder how you think it's scratches on the reverse would either prevent or affect it's grade.

Could knock it down to 61-62.
Might straight grade, might not, but not higher than 62 with that so why bother?
If you mean the one that is between the eagle's breast and wing, that is likely a die crack and should not affect the grade. Very common place for them on walkers.
Depends on how severe they are, how negative they affect the overall eye appeal. Just like there are thousands of coins with corrosion have been graded, there are thousands out there with scratches. I have half a dozen straight graded Jeff nickels with scratches. Can newly minted coins in a hopper get scratches? Yes, but a staple scratch......that's another problem we all have to learn to live with.....just how bad is it?
But for a relative common inexpensive coin.....locating another without the scratches would be the way I would go.

The more qualities observed in a coin, the more desirable that coin becomes!

The photos are shadowy, tough to say.
Can only see it when you tilt and rotate in light. Looking straight on with eye only it is not visible.

I’m more distracted by the spots on the obverse left, around 9o’clock between L and I.
I would look for another coin.
the 1943D is readily available in 64/65
Experience the World through Numismatics...it's more than you can imagine.
I would look further... WLH's are readily available, already slabbed, for reasonable prices. I do not like the obverse spots/stains.... Cheers, RickO
I already have another 43D in 64+ but liked the color of this one better.

Nice for an album but not worth the money to have slabbed.

Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
Common date. No better than MS62. Keep looking.
I would not buy this issue raw unless at melt.
The Coin in photo - it not even worth grading cost IMO. Buy nice PCGS slabbed coins you can afford. You can track them with the PCGS inventory / registry App, keep it simple. Remember it all adds up.
If you can not see it straight on, it would not be a scratch
coin looks in the 64/65 area
Sorry my photos suck. Here's Greg's photo of the same coin.

the new picture improves the color but guess what?? all the surface negatives are still there. pass.
Just fine for an album. Not worth submitting.
100% agree. Would look decent under the plastic sleeve of a Dansco type album.

Here's my other 43D in a PCGS MS64+ holder. These are sellers pics. Coin has been held up in USPS mail for 10 days so I haven't got it in hand yet.

I don't consider the above 43-D eye appealing. Just my opinion, of course.
Lance.
Received the coin and is much better inhand than seller's pics. These are my photos rather than theirs, while still not even a fair photographer the camera did most of the work. If still not an agreeable coin, then sobeit. Thanks all for your replies.
