Help Evaluating Oldish Collection

I’m an occasional contributor on the sports card forums but new here. I dug out a small collection of US coins my brother and I assembled as kids in the mid-1980s. I assume it’s the coin equivalent of 1980s junk wax-era sports cards but thought I’d share here for some guidance. The only non-US coin appears at first blush to be the most intriguing as the “DECUS ET TUTAMEN” along the edge is the upside-down variety. Here’s the front:

And here’s the rest of the collection:

Any guidance would be appreciated. Anything here of value? Any advice on selling? No sentimental value to speak of.

Thanks in advance!

Most of it is just common junk as you say. I see nothing spectacular but I do see silver. You could always check the sold ebay sales for each just to confirm my thoughts.... Silver is easy to sell and coinflation.com is your friend on the value of silver in each coin. A link is in the upper right hand portion of this page (at the top).
If you want to bundle all the silver together and sell on the buy sell trade board or the precious metals board (both here on this forum) it would go quickly.
    best of luck,

Not bad for a collection assembled as kids in the 80s.
As Bob said, most of the value is in the bullion value of the silver.

Thanks, guys. So how do I know which coins have silver? Or do I go coin by coin in coinflation?

you've got some silver coins in there. that's money

the buffalo nickle is worth just hanging on to.

the 1930 and earlier cents aren't worth mad money, but they are worth more than spending money. hold on to them. you might just hold on to the 1960 small date for interest, too.

not sure what to do with the uk pound since this is the us coin forum perhaps the world forum would know.

The 1964 and earlier are 90% silver. The 1965-70 half dollars are 40% silver. Also the 42-P wartime nickel you have has 35% silver. All in all, like @yosclimber said, not a bad little collection for a kids assembly in the 80s.

Aren't some of the 50c and Ike proofs also partially silver?

Nice old collection... but value is mainly in the silver coins. As stated above, pre-65 dimes, quarters and halves are silver and worth more.... and 65-69 Kennedy halves have silver content as well. As advised, check Coinflation. Good luck, Cheers, RickO
