1971 Topps Hank Aaron PSA 10 - RIP to the true "Home Run King"
Forever the true "Home Run King" and a great man most of all.
At age 11 in 1981 I was chasing Hank Aaron cards where ever I could find/afford them. One of my beloved cards at that time was a totally beat up 71 Topps Hank Aaron.
Fast forward and literally today arrives this mind blowing, bold colored, needle sharp, crisp edged, beautifully centered front & back (POP 4) 1971 Topps Hank Aaron in PSA 10 GEM MINT!! Feeling ecstatic and humble at the same time. Been waiting for the card to deliver and the arrival on this day is just unbelievable and makes it even more special to me.
This card came from Heritage. When it first appeared I could not believe my eyes. Since I was in the midst of my personal auction with Heritage I asked for a little background on the card. They responded with the consignors text as follows “Came directly from an unopened pack, as almost all my cards did. Wax pack. I bought 2 boxes from Steve 10 years ago for 12k each. Still have one full box, series 4.”

Wow! What uncanny timing of that purchase, Chris. I just bought today...a 1971 Hank Aaron psa-8.5 for $2250 after hearing of his death. Yours is a stunner!!! Now...I will be disappointed when my PSA-8.5 arrives. 😉
I was fortunate to take in a game at Crosley Field in Cincinnati vs the Milwaukee Braves on July 11, 1965. The Braves won 2-1 on a 7th inning 2-run homer by Hammerin Hank off Sammy Ellis over the centerfield fence at old Crosley Field.
Here is the box score of that game on a Sunday afternoon in 1965...just a 9-year old then.

That is one amazing card!!! Wow!
I had a 1965 Hank Aaron PSA-8.5 which I sold on Ebay today closing at 330pm EST. Talk about timing! The number of watchers...after his death hit the news...went from 48 to 101 and views went from 400+ to 1000+. Price nearly doubled today from $800+ to $1575.
That 71 belongs in a museum. Congrats UFFDAH
Congrats on another truly amazing pick-up. I have two nice 71’s but not like that. Amazing card.
Holy cow. That is an awesome PSA 10 condition sensitive card. Color is unreal.
I'm holding on to my 71 topps PSA 7. What is a 71 PSA 10 worth?
Terry Bradshaw was AMAZING!!
