Copper For The Weekend

We haven't done a copper for the weekend thread in some time so I thought it might be nice to have one.
So, happy weekend everyone and lets see what you got for the beginning of 2021.
I'm going to be submitting this to PCGS simply because I love the true views and it will look great in my Token Registry.
The only Half Cent denomination issued in the HT series. It is popular with Hard Times Token collectors along with U. S. Half Cent. Also listed in Redbook.
1837 HT-73 HALF CENT OF COPPER NGC MS 64 BN
Cant get a good picture without scratches in the slab showing

I recently acquired a new piece. Waiting to see it in hand.
This was a pair I have regretted selling.

Here’s a couple more. I recently started the task of taking pictures of all my slabbed coins with my phone and I saved them in a digital album and I thought all the small thumbnail sized pictures looked cool in a group so I ended up sorting them. I took a few screen shots and am using them as background wallpapers for the phone

That my friend is a beautiful coin. Nothing beats the look of a new cent that is 122 years old. You have a fantastic eye. Congratulations.

When is a Hard Times Token not really a Hard Times Token?........ 1833 HT-M36 (R7) so far only 1 graded NGC MS64BN
Once mistakenly cataloged by author and researcher Russell Rulau as an American issue struck during the Hard Times era later disproved as Hulme was a small municipality that was once located on the outskirts of Manchester, England.
I did compared mine with the plate coin in Rulau's book and it matches up, so nice to know mine is the one pictured.
1833 HT-M36 WHITE HOUSE HOTEL HULME, ENGLAND. NGC MS 64 BN Rarity 7
But I've only seen 2 including mine

I shot the 1949-S Doubled Die #1 (Coneca) / #3 (Coppercoins) in High Resolution. There are a couple stitching errors I could not fix but overall it came out very nice. I did not realize it but this is a CPG variety as well. IMO this is a very clear example of a Type-3 DDO. See the full size (9500x9500, 90MP) image on the EasyZoom website here:

Here is a 10x downsized "thumbnail", still plenty big to see the blunt-over-sharp 4 in the date:

Here's another "Hard Times Token that wasn't." Very rare, but dated well after the Hard Times era.

Love that token, Stef. Always thought the motif of the boy riding the dog like a pony was cool!

A few of my favorites from my new Lincoln set. They are all Browns. I prefer brown toning over Red any day.:
This is the only encased Masonic penny I’ve ever seen:

Resides in my Dansco 7070 album. Cracked out from an ANACS AU50 holder.
I must admit the mint did put out several really pretty modern medals. This one has a few struck through areas or
clashes??? but I still like it non the less.

Elongated coins (aka pressed pennies) have been a popular souvenir since the 1893 Columbian Exposition. This is the definitive reference for early elongateds. Note the cover coin.
