Hello, I am a newbie looking for help with authenticity. This Lafayette Dollar weighs pretty much spot on but I know fakes are getting better these days. I am hoping you guys know something about this coin. Is it a genuine piece? Took pictures with flash on and without. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Th

I'm no expert on these but my instinct say fake.
Letter thickness and style is off. My opinion is not a good buy at any price.

One big tell is that the coin has the surface preservation of an uncirculated example, but the details of a noticeably worn one.

Another big tell is it just kind of looks fake.
Bad to the bone.
Looks bad to me.
No bueno.
Fake ... and if you compare it to the posted picture of the authentic coin, you will see the differences. Cheers, RickO
