I am a total rookie but could it be coin machine "wheel" damage? If yes, that is PMD.
Edit: Disregard this. I am wrong
Just curious to why its beneath the lettering. Pictures I have isnt showing whats going on. Same resemblance of a strike through. But beneath the word marsh
Looks like a deep gash in the planchet prior to striking.
@Coin_nut1977.... Is the mark incuse or raised? I could not determine that from the pictures. Cheers, RickO
Incuse
Might be planchet damage before the strike or lamination flaw? Mmm. Peace Roy

Interesting... I am surprised at the metal fill of the letters over the incuse mark. Cheers, RickO
surface flaw in the planchet. Note the struck letters extended deeper beyond it.
Natural forces of supply and demand are the best regulators on earth.
Is this considered a mint error?
Looks like a minor die gouge error to me.
That is what I thought looking at the photo but he says it is incused and not raised.
Look at the lighting.
The highlights and shadows say that it is raised.
Looks incuse to me, based on lighting, and as such, not a die gouge.
Better pics would help.
sorry i cant tell from the pics.
