Hi guy's, you can call this my BEST Cherry pick, even though, it's not technically a variety/error. But I can call it my best find, anyway! You guys will never guess what I paid for this? The price, is what makes it my greatest find for 2021. This set (1997 Botanical Garden), has the LOW mintage Jefferson nickel. Only 25,000! She only charged me a measly $20. Now, I have both sets. Even the 1994 set, only cost me $30. So for both sets together, a grand total of $50. I'm happy just as when I hunt down a major variety! Lol. Here it is. Thanks guy's

    Nice score! The silver value of the dollar coin is worth that alone. If you want another one at going prices you can pick one up on ebay: https://ebay.com/itm/1997-United-States-Botanic-Garden-Coinage-And-Currency-Set/233864331872?hash=item3673668260:g:zCAAAOSwWGdgBcnT

    The cert claims the paper dollar is .32 Troy ounce?

    Thanks. Yeah normally, this set would sell for a close $130 price tag. Sure I realize one can probably find a set cheaper than that $130 on the bay. But just for that fact that the 25,000 mintage is sick! Very under rated coin. I'm ecstatic. Now, I can spend some extra cash on having it graded. Just in a 65 grade, would exceed my $20 cost and the submission fee. :)

    what makes it a better score;
    these often get lemon yellow toning on the reverse of the nickel. the no toning ones bring a premium.

    Just the $20 price tag alone. Anything else is just a bonus.

    Is the coin actually turning lemon yellow or is it just the plastic packaging that is turning yellow?

    I've not busted one open but it is on the reverse only and looks like the coin.

    Nice find. It proves once again that knowledge is power.
