My favorite is the 2 pesos of 1921. I just love the design, and as a one year type I am satisfied with my single example. In particular I think mine has a well defined face, plenty of luster, and few big marks, which are characteristics I don't see often on these. It's a coin I'm always happy to hold and examine.

My favorite piece of Mexicana would be from my medal collection, but here is 2 reales piece, of Iohanna and Carlos. Can't remember why I purchased it, but I guess that makes it special.

Maybe then your top 3 or top 5 would be easier?

Or the 1-2 coins you are most into at the moment would be easier.

    I forgot the "why" . . .

The coin above was carved by my favorite Hobo Coin artist, SteveOrino. It was created on a Peso just one year off from my birth year. I think Steve's skill is evident in this one.

    A 1959 Un Peso.

Here is a quick photo of the reverse as posted by the artist.

    It's entitled "Skinny Enrique", obviously . . . .

Full date, 1732, first year of issue in nearly to mint state. A really beautiful half reale.

Q: When does a collector become a numismatist?

A: The year they spend more on their library than their coin collection.

A numismatist is judged more on the content of their library than the content of their cabinet.
