No Phone CS with Ebay anymore??

No it looks like ebay has no phone support. I called the ebay number I had in my phone and it's an ebay message saying the number is no longer any good. All has to be done on the ebay website! I bought an item off ebay and then ebay cancelled my transaction 3 days later because the sellers account didn't look right. I already paid for my item. Now the seller shows to be a closed account. The only way to contact ebay now is with a Computer chat program. What a bunch of bs. My item never showed to be shipped and now ebays chat box tells me I have to wait for a week to contact them back because they have to wait for a response from a seller that they cancelled his account and doesn't exist anymore! What's up with that??

I share your frustration. I wonder if this very unsatisfactory solution is permanent.

Well I now I get an email that they are going to refund me in 48 hrs because they found no tracking # or any info that the item was sent. Still a shame that I have to go to the website in order to have them call me because they have no support number now. I didn't see the "Have us call you" option. Thanks for the heads up on that. The problem with that also is I call when I have a break during the day. If I have to wait for them to call me, I may be working or away from my phone. Just inconvenient!!

They usually call back in a minute or two. More convenient than going through the automated menu to wait on hold

don't sign up for managed payments. . . they will call you.

I must be lucky... I only buy a few items a year from ebay (non coin), but I never seem to have the problems so often recounted here. Perhaps it is coin related.... Cheers, RickO

I bought me a power tank for my telescope. The seller was new, has 3 pos FB so I gave it a shot. I usually don't mess with low FB sellers and now I know why. Lol

Had the same thing happen Bobby. I didn't know about the call back option. Took me 2 weeks to get my money back.

Well my refund just showed up this morning Jim. So only took a couple days. I guess because they closed his account, they knew nothing was going to get sent.
