Toning as Art - QC Silver Eagle sells for over $400!

    I figured this 1986 Proof Eagle belongs in this thread.
    We were all thinking $400 was a lot in 2021, well in February 2024 we had $1,148 for a details graded toned Eagle!



    ....and looking thought the feedback for the seller, we see that the buyer left a positve:

    This is an older holder which just says "Genuine" which is more attractive than one that lists the issue.

    That 86 eagle looks ok from those photos. Bet thats getting regraded until it gets a straight grade.

    Seriously? What would it be worth in a PR68 holder?

    With nice pics and the right eyes? 4-5 grand I'd speculate.
