GTG 1880s Morgan Dollar

Hey all. This one is interesting. Its in an older NGC7 slab, has quite a strike and decent mirrored fields......but my novice eye thinks it may be a slight overgrade. Curious what you all think. I'll share the actual grade later tonight.
Stay well!

Guessing its graded 66 but I would call it a 65+.

Given your clues, I'll go 64PL.

64 due to all the chatter in the left obverse field and luster breaks on cheek.

Bet it's in an MS65 slab. Luster and strike will sometimes make up for an extra mark or two although the argument against this one being a GEM is solid.
63+PL
To me it’s a 63 but I can see it being in a 64 holder maxed out.

I see a 62.

I’m guessing it’s a very nice coin though not especially photogenic. I’ll say 64. Based on the photos, doesn’t look PL.
Definitely NOT a photogenic one. Its hard to catch in pics but its pretty caked with luster. Assuming that and the strike pushed it...but I think its at least a grade high for sure. Its got PL qualities....not sure if it would catch the designation though.
In spite of my 64 guess, the 66 doesn’t shock me. It does seem to have very good luster and an exceptional strike.
The very clean cheek and the field scratches concentrated in one primary area got it to MS 66. It's probably only an MS 65 by today's standards.
The strike is outstanding but I would have thought all of the obverse chatter would have held it back.
I would not pay anything like 66 money for that (if I needed another 1880S), although it is not rare at that grade.
I was about to grade it 62 or 63....I was on the fence. Perhaps in hand it shows better. I just can't see the 66.
Someone got a gift on that one back in the day
I was going to guess 64.... Still think it is.... Cheers, RickO
IMO that would max at 65.
