Most beautiful coin design?
![Panda4456](https://forums.collectors.com/applications/dashboard/design/images/banned.png)
These aren’t my photos but which design do you think is the best?
Morgan dollar?
The Morgan dollar is nice except the fat lady could have been made more attractive but still one of the best designs ever!
20 dollar gold Eagle?
I love both sides but I would never be able to afford one.
US-Philippines peso?
One of the best coins I’ve ever seen. It’s too bad that MS examples are so pricy.
There are some foreign beauties but I left them out.

My top three favorites (regarding overall aesthetics and design:
peacockcoins
All very nice.
Years ago they used to try to tell us that the Maria Teresa Taler is the world's most beautiful coin.![:o :o](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/open_mouth.png)
It's a nice chunk of silver but she is not exactly a looker, and the reverse is too busy.
10 dollar Indian is a fantastic design too
The 2 I like the best is the Mercury Dime and the Walking Liberty Half.
Lots of possibilities here. One of my favorites is the French sower...
And I’ve always been fond of the Mexican eagle.
I know it’s sacrilege but I like both better than the St Gaudens design but that would probably be my third choice.
It's not my very favorite design of all time but when they are nice they are quite stunning![ ](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/blush.png)
...and she is a "looker" in a wonderful renaissance kind of way
I think it's an absolutely gorgeous coin!

Who else thinks edge lettering is awesome ?
I love how the edge is worn from so many years of people saving/collecting and looking at this coin but the faces are amazing MS![ ](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/smiley.png)

For U.S. coins, easily the Peace Dollar.

Just limiting to US regular issues is lots of choices and I might give a different answer on any given day, but today I will go with the Buffalo nickel.
St. Gaudens $20 (1907-1933). End of discussion (kidding).

image from Bonhams. I have one, but can't get an image.
The 2009 UHR Saint has my vote.

Amazing
those gothic crowns are sweet - hope the royal mint does one of those for its great engravers series
the uk does have a lot of beautiful reverses - I like the common six pence reverse a lot - v pretty
for us issues I think this is one of my favorite coins ever minted in the us
Whatever i'm into at the moment.
I like this one-
There are a TON of nice ones, but the Peace dollar is my favorite:
The Saint,Peace Dollar.
US
Walking Liberty Half
Peace Dollar
$5 Indian
World coins....hmm....many beautiful designs to consider.
I like the $10 Indian design best fwiw
Speaking strictly of U.S. coins, the UHR is likely the leading contender for most beautiful. That being said, the U.S. used to have coins with art... (i.e. WLH, Buffalo Nickel, Merc dime, Peace Dollar etc.). Then a terrible thing happened, they started putting real people on coins and no longer did we have art. The total demise of U.S. coinage. Now, the advent of the ASE and AGE was welcome, but circulating coinage is mostly rubbish - with the exception of the Sacagawea dollar - which circulates minimally. Cheers, RickO
Walkers. I dont like reverse of Gaudens. the bottom looks empty even with the sun to me
