Recently bought this 1862 half dollar but when I weighed it it seems quite light. About .3 gram light. It is hard to get a definite answer to the amount of weight lost by age and wear so I am hoping you guys can help by looking at the pictures. Any information will be appreciated. I can still return this for my money, so should I?

It looks genuine to me, though I’d refer to it as an 1862-S.

It appears genuine. A look at the mint mark reveals it is WB-102 (medium mm).
Nice half dollar.
Thanks guys! There is no substitute for knowledgeable folks like you!

Agree with genuine.
Paper money eventually returns to its intrinsic value. Zero. Voltaire. Ebay coinbowlllc
Looks good to me, probably weighs slightly less due to wear. Looks like a nice original VG grade coin. Leave it as is!

@CoinJegeren.... Welcome aboard.... I agree with 'genuine'.... Honest wear from circulation (as intended). Cheers, RickO
I agree with the consensus of genuine. Nice uncleaned coin, please don't clean it.
