Grandpa’s collection

My grandfather had a wonderful collection, much of which I passed on keeping (and regret for sentimental reasons). We used to sit for hours sorting (as well as stamps).

Nonetheless—there is one coin I can’t quite identify. Everything I’ve read leads me to believe it is a fake, but it looks too good not to be real. However, when reading about the coin-making process, it doesn’t seem possible.
1969 dime (D) on one side, border less penny on the other.

Any insight would be great! Pictures attached.
