Grandpa’s collection

My grandfather had a wonderful collection, much of which I passed on keeping (and regret for sentimental reasons). We used to sit for hours sorting (as well as stamps).
Nonetheless—there is one coin I can’t quite identify. Everything I’ve read leads me to believe it is a fake, but it looks too good not to be real. However, when reading about the coin-making process, it doesn’t seem possible.
1969 dime (D) on one side, border less penny on the other.
Any insight would be great! Pictures attached.

Welcome! What you have is a magic coin that a person made. It’s post mint damage and not an error made by the mint.

Magicians coin, you can buy them from those little Houdini shops in some malls.

sounds like a magicians coin to me or someone had too much time on their hands and glued two coins together either way it's fake

Everything you have read is correct.

Yup. This is not a mule but PMD. I’ve seen many of these at a local show with a merc obverse and a wheat reverse.

@Twoeagles86.... Welcome aboard..... The above inputs are correct... Not an authentic 'coin'... Cheers, RickO
Thanks all—that’s what I thought! I appreciate everyone’s help! And thanks for the warm welcomes as well.
