This is cool! It has a ticket from Heritage with it. It looks like late 80’s to early 90’s...
Anyone know? @MarkFeld ?

Rattlers were used 1986 to 1989, yours is a high serial number so around 1988-89 it was slabbed.
1938-D Buffalos are still common in the rattler holder but MS-66 is a rare find and with the auction card is neat.

Very pretty, and the rattler holder is also pristine which is a nice plus too.

The '38D Buff has great strikes... I have a couple slabbed in 66 and I think a 67.... Have to check that. That is a very nice coin and a great partner to the Jefferson. Cheers, RickO

I wasn’t with Heritage at that time, but that’s a non-auction item. Note “Heritage Rare Coin Galleries”, as opposed to “Heritage Numismatic Auctions”

Perhaps more importantly, though, the coin, itself, looks really nice.
