I found this new RPM in a mixed UNC roll of Wheat Cents. Unfortunately there was only one in the roll so this coin is at this point "unique", though of course we know there are many thousands more out there "in the wild". Hopefully this high res photo helps folks identify any they find.
The photo is available on EasyZoom website. Be sure to use the zoom function to zoom-in to the details, and give it a little time to load. The composite photo is 180.5MP, 19000 x 9500 pixels, so is a little slow to load.

I was not happy with the RPM detail and there were vertical die scratches in the field that were not shown clearly in the first obverse photo, so I re-shot the obverse rotated 90-deg. This new shot shows these details much better:

Good pictures... I wonder how many of these I have overlooked Cheers, RickO
Rpm’s, Send your find to James Wiles for verification of a new rpm. You will be credited at CONECA for finding this rpm. In the Lincoln series, I don’t remember another S/S with two mint mark styles. That’s really cool! I have a 28-S large S that is repunched three times. Mr. Wiles attributed it as an rpm-2.
This one has already been assigned a new CONECA RPM number (RPM-17) as shown in the thread title. Also note that there is a new procedure for variety submissions at CONECA. Wiles is no longer there. New discoveries are now "pre-screened" on the CONECA forum, and an attributer assigned if appropriate. I have a couple doubled dies that have been approved but have not been sent in yet. I like the new process since you can see if a variety is listable before sending in for attribution.

I just visited the Variety Vista website. I see that it is referenced as an rpm 17 and you did mention such in your original post. Great find none-the-less. I also read there that Mr. Wiles will no longer be attributing for CONECA. Not sure what is going on with that.
I was not clear in my first post...this is the discovery coin.
