I said what I said, this dollar is so hideous i dont know if its been in a fire or if its a fake but gosh darn I almost spit out my coffee when I saw it and wanted to share.

If it is real, some coins deserve a proper sendoff to the smelter, and this one more then qualifies.

For some absolute rarity I might find that condition charming but for a not that rare chain cent. 4K is just a crazy amount of money

I had that 1876-s trade dollar on my watch list just to see what some dummy would pay for it. Mind boggling. $56.00? +$4.00 shipping and in some states taxes added to that. It looks real to me. Could have been in a fire. Things like this always mess up my mind. And I have taken notice that the buyers of coins like this, always seem to have low feedback ratings. I guess some people could possibly be putting together the worst type set ever. There are millions of coins out there that could be had for $60.00 that would be a better value than this coin. Could be a new collector seeing that most trade dollars sell for more, so he/she wanted the lowest priced trade dollar. Or maybe a desperate person just had to buy a cheap trade dollar today, no matter what the condition - Oh, i don't know, things like this drive me crazy.

The price is mind boggling, if it went for close to melt, I wouldn't have paid attention to it. but at $56 jeez, I got to contact the buyer about this bridge I have for sale.
