Is t possible to see likes/agrees on a phone, or more than 10 on a computer?

airplanenutairplanenut Posts: 21,756 ✭✭✭✭✭

I’ve wondered this forever, so I’m finally going to ask. When it comes to the likes/agrees as the bottom of each post, is there any way to see the list of folks when reading the boards on a phone? Also, if I’m on my computer I can hover over and see a list of up to 10, but haven’t figured out how to see the whole list when there are more than 10.

Am I missing something, or is this a limitation of the forum software? If the latter, please make sure at least on of the options below gets more than 10 clicks so I can be ironically annoyed on my phone and computer.

Not that I am aware of. I have not been able to accomplish either.

I'm always on here on a phone and honestly thought there was no way to see who agreed/liked/lold 😂

I just tried all I could with a like count of 25. I can add and subtract my like stat but I can not view more than the 10 names that display when I hover over it. I tried opening in different tabs and inspecting the button code but nothing new. Let us know if you figure it out.

I’m pretty sure the forum software doesn’t allow it now. There was a way around it at one point but I don’t see a way now.

You’re where I am. I hoped that the underlying code had the whole list of users, but it doesn’t.

At least I feel a lot better knowing I’m not missing something obvious here.

Yup. Same results here. None on cell phone, 10 on PC.

Yeah, I've looked for this, too. The entire list of users that have reacted to a post is retained, because you can "unlike" something you've liked regardless of the number of likes it has. It's just not exposed to the user.

Glad I am not the only one that's thought about this.

It is possible to connect a mouse to the USB port of an Android phone (and probably to an iPhone, as well). I'm guessing that could be used to make the button lists pop up, but wouldn't bet my life on it. I may give it a try if I can find a USB adapter stashed somewhere.

With ___, all things are possible. Not all are with Him , so the answer is no. There is a reason Apple has a bite out of it

I never have tried to log in to the forum on my phone. Always visit on my computer. Will look at some of the 10+ likes/laughs and see if I can view more than 10. Cheers, RickO

I use an iPhone and browse on chrome. When I tap on the likes/agrees, it will briefly show the users that liked/agreed.

By what mechanism do you yourself like or agree with a post, in that case? Or perhaps you're saying that in the process of adding or deleting you from the list, the browser displays the list?

Anyway, doesn't work that way on a Galaxy S10 with Chrome... for me, at least.

Hey, turns out it actually works just like the desktop browser version. You hover your finger over it for a few seconds, but don't touch it. You have to hold it super still. If it doesn't show up, it's because you moved, and all it takes is one pixel of movement.

(This is where I watch gullible people try to hover their finger over their phone in vain for a while.)
