Morgan Toning question

Hi all....looking for some feedback on this one. Tons of rainbow toning on both sides, with heavy oranges, yellows and reds. Plenty of luster both all over the fields and devices....and what appears to be a very clean strike and detail. But this one confuzzles me a bit. On top of being a real pain to get proper pics of because of the toning, the dark bust seems out of place.

Is it UNC? Is the toning natural? Or is this coin tampered with? The cheek and bust are very dark....in some pics it looks like its just dark toning, and then other times not. Any opinions??

Definitely looks unc and I'd call it 64. Not sure I'd call that "tons" of toning, personally, looks like a nice even natural patina.

The images are so different, I don’t feel that I know what the coin looks like, in terms of color and luster. But if I had to guess a grade I’d go with 64, also.

My amateur photos really don't do the color justice. Haha

Its also got a pretty cool full bust die clash on the reverse. Also tough to get pics of with the color but you see the typical clash to the right of the eagle....and a full bridge of nose, lips and chin to left as well....

I would hazard around 64 as well. Looks like natural and neutral toning to me. Not rainbow, though. My guess is it spent time in an envelope.

Mr Feld....I always appreciate your candid feedback on my pics....which are clearly terrible!! Can you tell me what the best light and/or setting is to take them under to catch what you would be looking for? I want to take good photos....but that ability escapes me. Haha

    Thanks and Merry Christmas all

The straight on, well lit photo like your last one of the reverse are most helpful Angled and poorly/unevenly lit photos aren't too helpful as they don't show the luster and surfaces.

Some of your subsequent photos were better. If you do a forum search for imaging/photo tips, you should be able to find some threads that can help you far better than I could. If I can locate any of them, I’ll post links.

Cigar smoke can cause this type of toning.
