So the ATB hockey pucks have been out for 10 years now. Has anyone seen any acquire lots of colorful toning? If so, has it received a TPG imprimatur?

Hold on a moment, the oven timer is just about to ding...

How many would you like to order
they are at a disadvantage because I think they were shipped in a capsule and there isn't a commercially available holder(that I know of) that a collector could put them in which would allow toning to develop
I think keets has provided an excellent analysis of why these will likely not be found in great numbers with natural and terrific toning.

I am wondering out loud.
p-puck - capsule
bullion - 10 coin tubes
graded - holders
monster boxes of 500
most, but not all will bee in some container
there are those here that do buy ungraded but I have only heard of a couple. there has to be more that collect singles because the sales of the 69 dmpl's only total less than a hundred or so. I can't imagine a lot of people collecting 10 coin tubes or monster boxes.
Three cheers for container preservation - Hooray, hooray, hooray.... Cheers, RickO
Yes, but people who are AT'ing them won't let that stop them. I did a quick search on eBay and didn't see any Shake 'n' Bake specials, which kind of surprised me. Another reason they probably won't develop vast swaths of colorful toning is that it's a long distance from the edge to the center of the pucks, and the same 1/4" of rim toning on a smaller coin is really nothing on a puck.

I’ve been looking for one used as a pocketpiece.

Wow, this gives new meaning to the concept of deep pockets!
It seems like some toning is possible if it was in the right environment, stored in the original US Mint box (like below), and the capsule wasn't fully closed.
Give em time they'll figure it out.
The buy-in is too high for anyone to want to experiment with this too much as far as AT'ing them goes. Cheaper (& apparently very lucrative) to do this on regular issue stuff.
You didn't get the Dansco Wall Album? It's an actual wall.
APMEX sells them as scruffy. I bought one to touch
clarkbar's assessment is the same as mine, it's much easier and profitable to monkey around with a $50 Morgan.
I have eight of them now ordered from the mint in their a little cardboard boxes. I haven’t seen that even a trace of toning yet
Here's a PCGS MS64 Gettysburg 5oz silver puck I just ran across. Love the rainbow!
This PCGS MS67DMPL Kisatchie National Park puck looks to be from the same order as the Gettysburg as they have consecutive cert numbers and perhaps toning conditions.
I imagine if you pull them out of the capsule and put them back in the box, they'll start toning up.

I purchased a few of them when I liked the designs and have left them "as is" in the OGP. None of them have toned.
