while I appreciate how .900 silver would 'stay truer' to the original releases, as a newer collector, I'd be much happier with .999 silver

also - again, as a relatively newer collector of more modern us releases - was originally thinking that I wouldn't mind a slew of finishes on these, but after reading other forum members' comments, do hope that the set/s they release are a morgan & peace dollar in ms and proof finishes only - for some reason that seems more important than the silver content staying at .900

whatever happens,, I'm sure I'll be a taker on almost all ways they release these - p happy they'll [more than likely] be getting final sign-off on this legislation and releasing these next year - def is having the desired effect of getting me thinking about searching out original morgan & peace dollars to pair up with these

The 2009 UHR was in 24k gold and no one complained that it wasn't in .900 gold.

Or they complained by not buying it. :)

I was very tempted to buy it when it was announced. I just didn’t like the surface of the coin. I wanted a frostier satiny look instead of what it ended up. Although I do wish I bought it because gold is more expensive now...

I hope they do better than the 2001 Buffalo dollars or the 2016 "new" design" dimes, quarters and halves....

    Love that Milled British (1830-1960)
    Well, just Love coins, period.

what was wrong with each of them?

They looked fake. To see what I mean, pull one of those dollars out and look at them closely for a bit, along with an original Proof or higher grade MS buffalo & I would imagine you would see.
While I bought one each of the 2016 coins as a mint "slave", they also have a somewhat artificial look compared to the originals.
Love the concept, not so much the execution...
