Strange bagel found roll searching. PBD? machine doubling?

This morning I was roll searching bagels and came across one which j think Might be a Bakery Error. I’ve been roll searching bagels for a long time and never seen one like this....I’ve done some Google research and can’t find Another bagel with these strange “Swirl” markings on the obverse. I’ve also looked through Heritage Auction Archives dating back to their beginning and Cannot find a record of a “Swirl Obverse Diebreak” bagel being sold. •••••So question is, should I submit this as a Variety, or just eat it?

It is a bakery error. It's missing a lot of toppings. At least it should have sesame seeds. Looks like some post baking damage, though. You can tell by the up-raised crust that it was affected after baking. Probably a wash. I'd say not worth sending it in unless you really believe in it.
Either way, put it in a bag and save it. Something neat to show the grandkids.
Common bakery error, happens when the knife is loose in the automatic cutting machine no premium added.

Being an expert on bagel errors I offer the following.
Yours is a common horizontally split planchet variety with little added value. Most likely caused by the excess yellow grease [butter] contained within.
Over the years I have collected many 'thin' planchet varieties that command a sizable premium.
see below.

forgot to mention: AT. It looks like it was put in the oven.
Yup. The bagel, as seen, was toasted, also,, evident on the photo, had cream cheese. (The overall condition of the bagel has changed considerably recently)
Don't think it's MS. My GTG is au58
I think I see fingerprints on the obverse.
You are going to need an oversized holder for that.

Put it on the Bay ... guaranteed someone will bid on it.

It needs a slab and sticker to have any value.
We're such an odd bunch, everyone sees something different
This reminds me of a funny story ... happened many years ago ... maybe 20 years ago or so when eBay was young and there weren’t a lot of error listings and most of us on there knew each other. There were a couple of sellers who kept cluttering up the error coin category with stupid coins (like we see on here sometimes, e.g. parking lot finds, vice jobs, acid, other obvious PMD, minor varieties with made up names, etc.). It wasn’t constructive and was probably hurting the legitimate sellers.
So, a dealer acquaintance of mine (no longer in the biz) took a pack of Oreo cookies and made his own “errors” such as clips (Oreo with a bite out of it), cladding errors (an Oreo has three layers), off centers, misaligned dies, and whatever else he could imagine—you get the idea—and listed them for sale in the error coin category, with the intention of shaming the illegitimate sellers. It was pretty hilarious at the time.
Well, eBay didn’t think it was funny because they banned him and he had to come back as an alt haha. I bought a lot of cool errors from that guy back in the day. 😜

It's a breadstruck error.
Wait, that bagel has been doctored! It’s got some cream cheese to smooth out the rough crumb. Must be trying to get it into a better tasting holder.

Lafayette Grading Set
Sorry, detail grade due to being holed...
So, environmental damage and altered surfaces, too.

Struck thru?
If it's Parking Lot Damage I wouldn't eat it.
That is just the common plain bagel type, errors in Blueberry are the rarest and no errors have been reported in the seasonal Cranberry bagels yet.
I also suspect some artificial browning. But I think it’s market acceptable.
Well.....as suggested, I submitted it and it is presently internally being graded. I expect the bagel will be back in the morning. I’ll post pictures and perhaps we can do a “GTG”!
PU70 - don't need to see it!!!
Isn't that a Chinese coin? They recently found a similar one on Oak Island.
I suspect it’ll be bagged as altered.
Shame it's just a plain bagel & not an "everything bagel" - - THOSE are the rarest & command the highest prices!
My preliminary guess is a POS1.
I like them better with raspberry toning.
To new for a cac submission
**Thank You One and All, I hope you enjoyed the Thread
**. It was a great laugh
I prefer pre-1965 bagels. These newer ones with the different layers inside are just not the same...

Reminds me of the arcade game, Pac-man dot gobbler.
I think I see Virgin Mary and Baby Jesus.

Mmm...donuts!
If you squint and tilt your head to the left, it kinda looks like a smiley face. I loves me a pumpernickel with cc and lox. Merry merry. Peace Roy
