Wow, this is a crazy looking Zincoln!
Seems like what Graviton could make while high on Gravitonium!
Anyone have an idea of how this was made?

Maybe it passed through a black hole

Jammed up , peeled back, rolled over, then put through the Smashing device which gave it the tied in a knot look. JMO. Great
coin, but how did it get through Quality Control? without a clear date?
Is that thing in a graded slab? Is gravity-fused a known mint error term? Peace Roy

Remnants of a die cap and got folded over multiple times.
Yes.
Not that I'm aware of, which is why I asked how this was made.
Also, does the Mint come up with error terms, or is it error collectors that do?
Tiny Hulk angry , tiny hulk SMASH!
Boy, picks of the dies would be great, if only possible.

I wonder what the standards are that kept it from being a 64, or saved it from MS62. What are their comps?
QVC may copy that...
A very good present for the ...tis the season.
Eye appeal, and just the right weight, to remind you their still there.
Thank you for the reminder.
OH, Dear...
I wonder the same thing. How in the world do you grade something like this?

Thanks for the slab shot. It's beautiful in a way only a collector could love. Merry merry! Peace Roy

I am confused... they call it a cent, but there appears to be a clad layer. The label says "Foldover on 2 PLNS"... So what was the other coin? Cheers, RickO
It’s two Lincoln copper-plated zinc cents.
@Zoins.... Thank you... I was confusing the zinc with clad... Duh.... Cheers, RickO
They're the outer "petals" of probably a bonded pile up, with these outer pieces all folded over on top of each other after being struck. Sometimes they're referred to as "shrapnel", since they're misc bits of an error that broke aware.
very error
