    Looks like mechanical doubling

    The following sites have a comprehensive list of doubled dies. If you think you found something , check these first for an EXACT match

    Www.doubleddie.com
    Www.varietyvista.com

    The doubleddie site also has a good explanation of mechanical and die deterioration doubling under the tab marked "worthless doubling". If you're going to search for doubled dies, it would be worth it to look at examples of real errors on those sites so you can start learning the characteristics like split serifs, etc

    Remember, there are numerous MD and DDD coins out there, but very few doubled dies.
