Very cool. I just sent this same medal to a Shipmate for Christmas who is still in. He is a Master Chief now and the Enterprise was his first ship.
Didn’t have the NN packaging though.

The new Enterprise CVN-80, is scheduled for completion by 2025.
To date, there have been a total of eight ships and one space shuttle that share the name Enterprise. The first three of these vessels are, most unfortunately, not accounted for in the holdings of the National Archives.
It would be interesting to see how many medals and collect them I’m sure the new Enterprise will have one

Very nice! I got one of these earlier this year with the christening ceremony pamphlets and brochures, and it’s a very nice medal. I believe that the decommissioned CVN-65 Enterprise and the under-construction CVN-80 Enterprise are both currently at Newport News Shipbuilding. Looks like CVN-80 is supposed to launch in about five years.
