Nice!!!!! The s/cc is there, but the effaced c is tough to see without a loupe or scope. The higher the grade, the easier to see. It is a tough coin to find.

One of my favorite varieties, and it looks perfectly graded by NGC! I'm curious - why no attribution on the holder? It's well worth it for this MUCH better OMM. At a minimum, NGC should have mentioned "S/CC".

Nice... I have a CC/something.... cannot recall right now which OMM it is... will have to look... Picked it up at a local, small coin show in Seattle area...not a cherrypick, but a good deal. Cheers, RickO

PCGS doesn't lists the variety. Which one is this one?
How many dies were used in this error? Really cool, I had never heard of it before, but only owned two T$1 before, an 1877 and an 1873 CC so never really studied up on them.

TDN's is the lead coin on CoinFacts a MS65. According to CoinFacts there is an FS-501 and an FS-502. Neither show a die crack which could occurred at any time in the dies life.

that is the FS-501 or the main one. The 502 is not nearly as clear and Steelers is a very LDS with the Obv die crack pretty pronounced

both the 501 and the 502 come extensively die cracked and is how to pick them on line

Picture of 502......feint effaced C to the right of S. Die bump to the left of S. It is quite subtle. Hope this helps. Keoj

Thanks for all the comments! @keoj is right that it's hard to see and @Crypto is correct that it's a very late die state. I assume NGC didn't automatically designate it because it isn't the "red book variety", or perhaps the graders simply missed it.

Here is a better image of the reverse where the C is far more visible.
It should be noted a group of specialists have been looking for a coin like that for almost 10 years at this point. Buch of AUs and lower but that is a great find. Skin could be better

As others have noted the CC under the S on the 502 is more difficult to pick up than on the 501.

No that is just weak impressed Reg S. There are some crudely prepared dies as the mint was ramping up record to that point production. One can assume that is why the need for modified CC dies. It is a Keoj question but I think there are two Mushy S dies that get very faint through their runs
Note the micro s is always paired with a type two Rev. Yours is a type one berry in claw
