I've traded/sold a dozen+ coins for irreplaceable coins three different times now which has made my collection better as a whole. For me, less is more and if you can find a replacement within a year or two, it's not worth holding on to that coin for now if you could trade it for something truly special.

I know where an 1870-cc $20 is locally, and its raw, but should 50 maybe 53, but guy isnt selling. In fact, he has the almost whole set raw in 6 capital holders minus only the 1849 ofcourse, 1854-o,1856-o, 1927-d. Inherited it from his grandfather who assembled it years ago.

i might add the 1921 Saint in this set is probably as close to finest known as you can get, absolutley breathtaking.

All I want is to capture from in the wild a 1982 D 3.1.
    Small date.
    Clean that would be.

An 1870 cc gold $20 piece ms 65 works for me

The finest known is an AU53 so this is quite a dream.

I don’t really have a dream coin as I can’t imagine spending all that much on any single coin. Even as a Morgan set collector I don’t think I would get $1M of happiness out of an 1893-S in 67. I could certainly see that much enjoyment from a similarly-valued complete and beautiful Morgan set though.

There is an au58 70cc but it is missing after being stolen in a brazen armored car robbery. Reality is stranger than fiction

In the past it was a 1796/1797 half, then 1823/2 quarter but my whims change frequently. Now my dreams are more about sets rather than individual coins.

I got my dream coin about 12 months ago and took most of this year off from buying to rebuild my reserves. Ready to jump back in now though. :)

A properly graded AU 50 or AU 53 Small Eagle Bust Dollar.

Can you share with us what the dream coin is that you got?

Nice HR - congrats. What is keeping it from a 64? Looks excellent.

Agreed, that's an a---kicking example at that grade, at least it looks that way from here. What an item to have in your collection.

Thanks! My guess is the mark on the left above the rays. It's not even as noticeable in hand as it is in the TrueView, but I assume that's what held it back.

For me, it's one dynamite Proof Ten Lib. I'd probably never get any work done, because I would be staring at it all day!
