This week’s late afternoon game in my area is the Eagles vs. the Packers in Green Bay. I am sure that this looked like a contest between two division contenders when it was scheduled, but now? The “Meat Packets” (The original owners of the Packers were in the meat processing business.) will be packaging up Eagle gizzards by the end of the first half. Carson Wentz will adding to the Packers’ interception totals for the season. Overall it’s too bad that’s all the football we will have available for a late Sunday afternoon.

Eagles are carnivores which means they eat meat. The Green Bay team was named after the meat processing industry, famous in the Green Bay area which packs meat, IE "Packers".

So therefore it's logical to me that Eagles which eat meat should beat a team named for processing meat.

That's my insanity and I'm sticking to it. :)

It's 23 to 3 and Wentz has looked pathetic. One of the announcers said that the Eagles "look slow." Wentz' best play was "wounded duck" he got to an open receiver for a gain of 42 yards. Of course it was 3 and out after that.

Hurtz just threw a touchdown pass. The Eagles just scored, I repeat the Eagles just actually scored! Sound the alarm!

My goodness, the Eagles just scored again, it's now 23-16 Packers lead!

Hurts seemed to give them a bit of a spark, but it just wasn't enough today. To the Eagles fans of the world....

Well that was $32M down the drain. Maybe it’s time to sign Wentz for an extension.

Doesn't matter who's the QB. They have to run for their life on every play.

The time has come to bench Wentz and let the kid play. Yes, the offensive line does not provide the best protection, but Wentz stands back there for so long that NO offensive line could protect him. He would need a brick wall and even then he’d have trouble hitting the target.

The guy had his partial season of glory, but it’s over. He’s been paid plenty of money. I hope he’s had sense enough to keep some of it.

Here in Minnesota we give a different reason for calling them meat packers. LOL

Bench Wentz. Has a certain rhyme to it.
