1887 Old Judge Willie Hogan. I have four of the five different poses for this card. This one is rare and expensive.

A 1957 Parkhurst Henri Richard r.c. would be nice to own,in the early nineties a dealer at a card show purchased wax packs of Parkies for $100 and showed me the r.c. of Henri Richard that he pulled from one, he was asking for $200.00 to much money i thought because i just purchased a raw Jean Beliveau R.C. from another seller, driving home i thought "what are you doing go back and buy the card"to late it was sold.See my collection of Montreal Canadiens items under "rocket 52"

Probably stating the obvious, but 1952 Topps #311 Mickey Mantle. I came pretty close to doing it twice - engagement ring and home purchase were the actual expenditures, with no regret. I do not want it in 9 or 10 as value has (almost) nothing I do with it. I would be quite happy with a nearly crease free, well centered card with soft corners and a weak surface. Like 2-3-4 territory but with nice eye appeal. Even the SGC 1 that @mouschi has is just about perfect to me.

PS - Hey! I just found out even in my dreams, I am still a cheapskate. 😉😂

Haha thanks for the mention! I'm so happy I have the Mantle. When I first got it, I put it up for sale for a bit, but took it down because I couldn't stomach it leaving my collection. Good luck to you on landing one!

Seeing these cards hanging on my wall every morning brings a smile to my face, I am just thankful my Wife allows me to have my cards all around the house on display, LOL

    1962 Topps #200 Mantle, PSA 10.

Heck i'd be happy with a PSA 9 having a few print dots. :)

  • The great part about today’s market is that so many desirable cards are now available. Can’t wait for my tax returns to come in. 😁
