1922 Peace Dollar error or fake?

I was going over some of my unc. Peace dollars and noticed that the edge of libertys face had a raised line all the way down. Could this be a double die error or is this a fake?

It's machine doubling and fairly common.

Looks like some possible Post Mint Damage on LIBERTY... quite a bit of flattening.

The doubling you mentioned is what others have commented on as mechanical doubling... and I concur.

Classic machine doubling. Were it a doubled die it would likely be doubled inside the nostril and on the motto.
