    I do not think they are very popular due to size. You can pick a 65 or even 66 Republic for few hundred dollar and a 64 sometimes for less than 100. The series are about 300 so I do not think many people are trying to complete it. Regarding colonial issues, those are harder, and not easy to get, not to mention can be expensive. Of course there are exceptions that can be expensive, like an 1829 EoMo half real. That is a chunk of cash...

    I think they are cute. Not a great photo but the coin is really nice.

    Q: When does a collector become a numismatist?



    A: The year they spend more on their library than their coin collection.



    A numismatist is judged more on the content of their library than the content of their cabinet.
