When I saw this coin, my jaw just dropped!
This is like watching the stars in a space nebula!
This is an upcoming Simpson pattern coin, Judd-1342.

I have never seen the coin, but I am going to guess that if you saw the coin in person, it would look quite a bit different from the photo, unless tilted just so.
If Heritage and PCGS can get a similar view that's a plus.
Also, I happen to be pretty decent at tilting coins
very nice, with colors like that must be copper
It is. Good guess!
Flawless too. Without looking it up I would guess 68+ Maybe 69
Okay, I looked it up and didn’t realize it is a proof.
I agree! It is one of those coins a person could stare at and get lost in its mystery. You should go for it!

You see stars, I see spots. Can't get my head there.
Agree. Someone sneezed on that coin and there appears to be a couple of smeared finger prints. I promise not to bid against you.

That's okay. It's kind of like how some like toning while others see tarnish and environmental damage.
It looks like it takes batteries.
I wonder if they're included?

I see both sides, but this piece just "speaks" to me! Much louder than the shipwreck "supernova" $20, to me at least. I didn't care for the look on that one

I do think this piece stands out more overall.
Here's a TrueView close up of the obverse.
Here's the reality check image, showing that this coin is best enjoyed tilting and twirling it in the light. Not that I would have a problem with that.

Agree the slab photos are pretty dark.
Here's a question for those suggesting it needs to be tilted to be enjoyed:
How many times do you hold a coin in hand and not tilt it? I even tilt blast white coins
I enjoy most the coins that look great as you pluck them out of the box. I am not saying that a dark chocolate brown proof pattern $10 Lib is not attractive - it is - but that is how I would spend most of my time viewing it.
FWIW, I am neither dissing the coin or the photograph, just that the photograph is the most accurate representation of the coin.
Interesting and good to know. I tend to spend a good amount of time tilting a lot of my coins to enjoy them. Even for blast white coins, I like to see the light shift when it reflects the cartwheel luster.
The ones I don't tilt as much tend to be the ones with a matte finish.
Yes I like it quite a bit. In fact I find it over the top beautiful many, many ways.
@Zoins.... Were you referring to anyone in particular when you said "...while others see tarnish and environmental damage." I resemble that comment..... Cheers, RickO
The toning reminds me of my silver restrike of Libertas Americana medal.

It does have a similar look. Nice medal Stef!
I'm actually not sure what to think now! You really surprised me when you indicated you liked the following medal
