I have received circulated proofs in change a few times over a period of many years. The most recent one was a clad dime that I received in change about a year ago. Interesting, but not interesting enough to save it.

While searching for W quarters I have found 38 circulated proofs. I also found 2 circulated silver proofs.
Edited to add photo: Not sure why I am saving them.
Wow!
I've gotten many over the years. The most incredible was a '68-S quarter worn down to VG+ that I found back around 1999.
I'm starting to believe that there are a lot fewer proof sets than I've been figuring. Between losses due to attrition and those just being spent, there might not be so many left.
The one thing I don't see in many one cent proofs. This is probably caused by high attrition and that mintages just swamp the millions of proofs going into circulation.
I am not a roll searcher, however I have received so many proof state quarters in change that I was thinking of starting a custom set of impaired proofs
I have found 5-6 state quarter proofs, 1 silver volcano proof, and probably 6-8 other quarters over the years.
I have not found a proof dime, but 5-10 nickels and less than 5 Lincoln proofs.
I don't search halves but can't recall finding a proof one.

Yes, in nickel roll searching. But I have found fewer proofs than buffalos or war nickels.
Yes. One Kennedy half and one Jefferson nickel.

Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
No, never in "roll searching ". But I did find one in the coin star, 1964 quarter and about 10 Statehood quarter's at my bank. Never in rolls.
