What do you think this 1889 cc will grade at?

The reverse appears to have nice details, but I was curious what do you think this coin will grade at?

If it is not cleaned will do better than f12 no doubt

Back in the 60s baking soda was used to clean Morgan dollars. This one looks like that. Might simply be the way it is photographed though. Tough to tell. Otherwise, VF30 details.

Around XF . Maybe a reason it is not in plastic. I would assume it has been cleaned.
Is there damage to the eagles right wingtip or is it just wear?

The coin looks XF details, (obverse) cleaned. I can’t imagine it receiving a straight grade.

Major obverse polish, reverse looks too nice IMO. Not a great photo on the reverse.
If it isn't fake, it's heavily cleaned with a smoothed obverse. It appears metal on the obverse has been displaced which could make it ineligible for slabbing. PCGS calls this "altered surfaces" and when it is severe enough to obscure crucial die markers, they won't holder it. Again, this is all assuming the coin is real (and I can't say with confidence that it is).
I think it's counterfeit.

That thought went through my mind, though the reverse looks less scary then the obverse. Either way, it would be a hard pass for me.

Very few free lunches in numismatics. If that coin doesn’t jump out to you as a problem coin, then you are advised to buy coins already slabbed!

If you don't mind dropping $10, you can request an NGC review. They will provide a determination of genuineness ($5) and a grade range ($5) -including detais, if applicable:
I would stay far away from this coin if you want to buy one get one that is graded by ngc or pcgs and if you look at his seller feedback he has 3 negatives and 1 of those he sold fake gold. So if I were you I would stay far away from this one.
Pass,pass,pass.
I'm not so sure it's the real deal. Note the extra metal in front of Miss Liberty's eye. It does not VAM for a 89cc that I can tell.
Extra metal above star to left of date.
I'd pass.

I agree. The obverse looks surrealistically abused, but it seems to be a match for VAM 6.

It is not a coin that I would want. I don't think it will grade-possible a details grade. The Obverse is messed up. The reverse is Ok. Some coins need to be seen in hand.
I would pass, more than likely cleaned, surfaces don't jive with me, just pony up some money and buy a slabbed example, jmo.
That coin is fake newz. Rgds!
The whole worlds off its rocker, buy Gold™.

Wooooha! Did someone just say it's officially "TACO™" Tuesday????
It looks like a fake to me.... If not, then certainly cleaned and or altered obverse....Cheers, RickO
I would pass. Doesn’t look right to me.

I think the obverse is of a fake coin and the reverse is a genuine coin.
Well, if you look at the seller’s reviews, he has sold fakes before, so at a minimum, he doesn’t know what he’s doing.

Fake at worst, cleaned at best. Pass.
So either fake or altered surface, good to know. Thanks for chiming in y'all
Uncertified rare coins are not worth buying. I know a well regarded dealer who has a nice choice Fine and PCGS certified coin in the $700-$800 range if interested. There are too many people looking to flip coins for a profit.
Nothing to add except I concur with those who say either cleaned or fake. The feedback is troublesome.
