eBay Coin Shortage, Managed Payments

Since eBay started Managed Payments that do not at this time allow coins to be listed, I have noticed a sizable decrease in coins offered that I am interested in buying.
My watch list is virtually empty.
Has anyone else noticed this?
Will there be a rush of new coin listing when eBay finally allows coins on managed payments.
I am not in managed payments so I still am able to sell coins on eBay.

They haven't moved coin dealers to managed payments yet. So I don't think your empty watch list has anything to do with managed payments.
I signed up for managed payments and they are holding me on a waiting list to activate until they either sort out the coin problem or stop trying to sort out the coin problem.
No way. it is not possible! Ebay is the best!!!! It is also way better than it has ever been! How dare you blaspheme like that! I am disappointed.
Have not noticed.

Many of the coins that I do buy are from individuals and not from coin dealers.
I know all the error coin dealers and their inventory is lacking now as well, probably from the lack of coin shows.
I am just curious about the non-dealers that I buy from and if most of them have moved to MP.
I still don't think they are connected. Generalists I know, if they sell coins at all, were held out of managed payments pending a resolution.
I think the lack of coin shows and Covid in general are more the reason.
eBay is the best, by far.
Discussing the reasons for rare coin shortages seems like a logical question.
It might be logical but I am not sure it is acceptable. The Church of Ebay does not look favorably upon unflattering comments. You dassn't speak of things such as managed payments in any possibly negative manor. 10 Our Ebays and 20 Hail Ebays and you will be on the road to absolution!
Ya, that's probably why I did not get the latest eBucks promo.
Neither did I.
I see what you did there @ironmanl63
No worries, there's nothing to buy anyway...
I usually have BIN's locked and loaded. If there is a best offer option, I am ready with a strong offer.
The second I get an eBucks promo, I would go all out.
I have nothing on my watchlist so I guess I do not need the coupon as you stated.
It would make me look harder tho, and probably prompt me to buy something, listening eBay?
I keep an extremely high price roll of ASEs for sell in each of my accounts. I read somewhere that if you have coins listed you will not be forced into managed payments. So far it is working.
The price of gold is set by faith, or lack of, in the currency it is priced in.
My searches there mainly thru AS. I usually do an eBay search to see what bay sellers are selling material I may have or recently acquired in relation for pricing. These are low pop (pop 1-99) graded world coins and banknotes. I make note of the EH (eBay seller high) and average. If I have the only one on all of eBay a major ++
So at a show on this material (1-99 pop) I am fairly certain have only one in room plus know what retail price ballpark may be so as not give it away. Graded world currency the new frontier.
It's true. My second account is 95% not coins. But they have me on hold for managed payments, even though I signed up, because I have some coin items.
I've never signed up for 'Managed Payments" and I can't remember if I ever received a notice requesting to do so. 99.9% of the items for sale on my site is for coins or US Mint products. BTW, I've "closed shop" until after X'mas...been doing that for 20+ years...not going to hassle with the mail service over the holidays.
I signed up for the promo. I'm still getting 10,000 free listings per month
I keep my online store full to capacity. Retail sales been strong but you never which batter will get a base hit or more. Have not received communication on managed payments. Coin shortage on eBay? Based on what period stats (slabbed coins) vs this one?
When spaces opens up I put inexpensive $10 and $20 coins (in 2/2) up for sake. When my raw coin binder (budget material for shows / help pay expenses) sells out I will worry about a coin shortage.
If coin shortage could be somebody like me selling out of coins going to world currency (the New Frontier per article in recent PCGS Market Review).
