400 Years ago today, November 11, 1620, the Mayflower first landed in Massachusetts (see correction in next post). It landed at Cape Cod. Post a numismatic item that celebrates this event.

Hmmm, it appears this was the "Old Style" calendar. Under our current calendar it would be November 21. In 1582 the Gregorian calendar replaced the Julian calendar in Roman Catholic countries. However, the changeover did not occur in Protestant and Orthodox countries until later. The changeover occurred in England in 1752. Sorry for the foul up.

Scovill Manufacturing store Card
nice job pilgrim, i like
It’s a little bigger than a silver dollar. I’m sure it’s silver but the purity is not marked.
I did find a gold example in the Queen’s collection saying it was 1 of 5 gold
Maybe they only made 5 silver ones too!
@DNADave.... Thanks for the reply.... likely sterling silver, but could be pure... Cheers, RickO
Nice colorful original Pilgrim. Of course I posted this one recently but here it is again since it’s right on theme.
