Struck through?

I have seen this similar shape before on a number of coins.
There is 2 here on the neck.
Has it been struck through a foreign object?
Common?
This is also the alligator eye VAM, not that it’s important.

    I think it's just a little PMD. ;)

The scuffs on the left are just that - contact marks/scuffs.

The rectangular area to the right of the scuffs (above the
first '8' but on the neck) might be a small struck-thru.

The smaller one to the upper right of the main
one could also be a minuscule struck thru.
