Buying from the mint

al410al410 Posts: 2,402 ✭✭✭✭

I have never purchased anything from the mint but would like to try for the "End of World War II 75th Anniversary Silver Medal" I know it will be hard to get thru. Anyway when I logged in last time whenever I got thru the page had the item but had "remind me" button. Do I just continue to refresh or will that button change if I am lucky enough?
Thanks
Al

Refresh and the 'Remind Me' button will change to 'Add to Bag'.

"This product will be available for sale on November 9, 2020, at 12 noon (ET)."..You do have to wait a bit,to see add to bag :)

I had American Innovations in the bag before the sale. I don't know if it helped, but I did get a silver 75...after 30 minutes of trying I got it in the cart...after another 30 minutes, i got through checking out.

So it is ok to have it open where the remind me button is before the sale and once sale starts should I keep refreshing until button changes to buy?

I have never been fortunate enough to get one of these 'hot' items on the day they are offered. :'( I do not sell coins, so when I try to get one, it is for my personal collection. However, the flippers always seem to win these 'contests'... Cheers, RickO

I spent a lot of money with the mint in the past, not now. Actually, its just too much trouble. They should just take presales and when they run out, just tell everyone not to sit in front of their computers for nothing.

The mint, in it's infinite wisdom, thinks that it creates excitement and will create more coin collectors. If mint product sells out in seven minutes, it must be a good buy, so all investors should buy all the mint product they can. It might even work.
