Found this morgan today at the local gun show. Nothing special after sorting through about 30 of them. $29 each was the price with current silver prices. There were some other nice ones but for $29 a piece I had to be selective.
Any way I think this one is not cleaned and in XF+ condition with a nice silver satin look.
What do you guys think?
Love the 1885-CC Morgan

Looks low AU to me, dull luster, net XF
Lustrous or not, the coin looks AU to me.

Nothing wrong with that purchase.
I like. Xf/au
That is a nice Morgan... and especially for a gun show pickup. I sometimes get lucky at gun shows, where there are frequently a table or two with coins. Have picked up a couple of AH Kennedy coins (in mint sets) at cheap prices. Yeah, cherry picks. Cheers, RickO
There were a couple others that were nice but not as nice as this one. Most were what I call melt coins. There was a nice '04 but didn't want to go too crazy @ $29 each when silver value is .75 of spot. I see silver is down almost $2 today.
Very nice, better than XF, pocket carried and commerce used Morgan Dollar! Ya did just fine.

i think he got a good deal cause the price of silver is gonna go back up anyways and so thats money in the bank
