1965 Kennedy Half 90% Silver
Has anyone found one of these?
Some pictures of it next to 1967s and 68s that are 40% silver and then a photo of it next to some clads
Thoughts?

I think some silver 1965s came in sets from the Mint. I can’t remember for sure though. But you know those sets the Mint makes?
1) Do not hold coins like that. Hold them by the edges only.
2) Until silver clad coins get some wear/tarnish, the edges can sometimes appear to be one solid color.
An offmetal error for 1965 could certainly exist, but it is extremely unlikely.
90% silver 12.5 grams
40% silver 11.5 grams
I feel 90% looks a little whiter than clad and edges are deceiving
Some clad coins do have the edges appearing all silver...I have seen that occasionally. Weight should tell you the answer. Cheers, RickO
I've seen 65-70 Kennedy half dollars look like they are all silver.
When I was going through halves for silver, it was fun to guess if it was a 90% or 40%. Many nice 1965, 1969 tricked me to thinking they were 90% by just looking at the edge.
